November 11, 2011 By Alice

BTDT Nov 2011 logo

The Indie Book Collective has gathered all the information and has put together authors and bloggers to make this happen. On this page you […]

Help find Aeryn Gillern

November 9, 2011 By Alice

Aeryn Gillern

In October 2007, retired policewoman Kathy Gilleran received a call from Vienna, Austria, informing her that her 34-year-old son, Aeryn Gillern, was missing. Kathy immediately flew overseas to aid in the search for Aeryn Gillerner, but upon arriving in Vienna, she was shocked to learn that the local police had no interest in pursuing the case. Aeryn Gillern, a […]

Estimated Time of Arrest by Delphine Pontvieux

November 8, 2011 By Alice

Estimated Time of Arrival by Delphine Pontvieux

Estimated Time of Arrest by Delphine Pontvieux. My second book review for “Blog Tour de Troops” is just like the eyes on the cover: different. The abbreviation ETA reflects the fate of one of the main characters,  Lorenzo Lartaun Izcoa. However, ETA of course, also stands for Euskadi Ta Askatasuna. The author gives an overview of the Basque Nationalist […]

Murder at the Rocks by Jill Paterson

Murder at the Rocks by Jill Paterson

Murder at the Rocks by Jill Paterson. My first book review for “Blog Tour de Troops” is Murder at the Rocks by Jill Paterson. In contrast to what you might read in the title, the Rocks do not refer to the beach. They refer to a mansion but to me the Rocks refer to the main […]

Bad Luck Cadet by Suzie Ivy. Just when you think that  you can get some sleep, another author spoils it for you! Rob generously kept me up way too late  last night. I should have known that Suzie Ivy‘s book would be worse. Her posts on her blog “Bad Luck Detective” always make me laugh so […]

Author Notes

Since 2009, I write about unsolved cases that need renewed media attention. I only do research and leave active investigations to the authorities.

My posts cover homicides, missing and unidentified people, wrongful convictions, and forensics as related to unsolved cases.

On book reviews: I only review select works of true crime, crime fiction, and historical fiction/mysteries. The stories have to fit my website's theme, tone, and research. It is my prerogative to not review a book. Please check the FAQ page for more.

My databases are free to the public. Cases are sorted by the victim’s last name.

If you have any questions about my website please check the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page, the About page, and the tabs in both menu bars. If you cannot find the answers there, please contact me.

Thank you,

Alice de Sturler
