There is a string of news paper articles about the DNA hearing for William Thomas Zeigler that took place at 8am this morning in Orange County, Florida. Some are correct and others are not.
According to ABC Action News, Private Investigator Lynn-Marie Carty of Reunite People says the evidence she has uncovered will point the finger at the man she says framed Zeigler. “This former police chief was later arrested in Costa Rica on charges of conspiracy to murder, a plot to murder a U.S. ambassador, blow up an embassy and of gun-running and drug-running,” said Carty.
She is of course, referring to Robert Thompson whose “Buried Thompson Report“ has been posted in full on DCC. I do not know what kind of evidence she has and have not been able to find it on her websites either.
According to WikiFurni.com, “a judge allowed a motion to grant DNA testing on blood that was left at a crime scene that shocked Central Florida on Christmas Eve in 1975.” Note that this is not correct, see my post “Blood spatter expert appointed in Zeigler case.”
The Greenwich Time also reports about Chief Thompson, whose daughter gave a press conference this morning with Carty to point out Zeigler’s wrongful conviction.
I will post more as soon as I have spoken to the Zeigler Legal Defense Team.
