Today’s cclivechat focused on two cold cases. One from the UK, Suzie Lamplugh, and one from the USA, Trisha Meredith. Suzie is still missing but considered dead. Trisha was savagely murdered.
Some information was found online but both cases are still in need of more media attention especially Trisha’s case.
Trisha was only 19 years old when she died. Just two weeks after she left her mom’s home and moved into her very first apartment, she was murdered. Twenty-four times stabbed and with her throat cut, Trisha died in broad day light inside the laundry of her apartment complex. Her killer is possibly someone she knew since the multiple stabbing does point to a very personalized attack. Also, the laundry room though enclosed, was quiet and someone had to know that not many people would be around.
If you knew Trisha, please leave us a comment or share a memory here. Her case needs to be taken up again by the media so people get reminded that their friend’s murder is still unsolved. Someone out there knows something. This isn’t exactly the kind of crime that people can keep quiet. Please help Trisha’s brother Brandon to solve the case.
Suzie has been declared dead but her case is still very much alive. Police keeps searching and acts on all tips. Authorities do not consider Steve Wright a suspect however, they have named John Cannan as prime suspect. From the Birmingham Mail: “Evil killer John Cannan is prime suspect – but because of a botched police operation in the weeks and months after Suzy disappeared, he may never face justice for her disappearance and likely death. The former car salesman from Sutton Coldfield is already serving three life sentences for murdering 29-year-old newlywed Shirley Banks in Bristol and attacking two other women.” In this article, you will find a very useful timeline of the case.
