The Halifax Regional Police has a website with links dedicated to their unsolved crimes and they are asking for your help.
You see the names of the victims involved, incident date, and file number (or incident number). Click on any of the names and a small file pops up with dates, facts and pictures.
Please take a look and if you have any information about any of these major unsolved crimes, please contact the Integrated Halifax Regional Police/RCMP Major Crime Unit at 1(902)490.5016.
Remember that a small detail that does not make sense to you now, can be just that little piece of the puzzle they have looked for. Many old cases get solved because one more piece of information ties all other pieces together.
“Many of the cases are part of the Nova Scotia Department of Justice Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program, which offers a cash reward of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the crime.”
On their website you see a database however, it is not a complete list of all their major unsolved cases. “Investigators review major unsolved case files on an ongoing basis and cases will be added to this web page and/or submitted to the Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes program on a case-by-case basis.”
