Who killed Connie Sue Madvig?

The Harris County authorities in Texas need your help i the cold case of Connie Sue Madvig.

On June 27, 1977, 18-year-old Connie was found in a wooded area near Aldine Westfield and East Cypresswood in Spring, Texas. She had been stabbed to death.

Connie was last seen alive on June 23, 1977, walking to a store after leaving her parents’ home in the 23900 block of Spring Briar Lane.

Anyone with information can contact  Houston Crime Stoppers at 1-713-222-8477 or call the Harris County Cold Case Unit at 1-713-967-5911.

Connie Sue Madvig’s murder is one of several cold cases the HCSO is featuring every week in hopes of gathering new information that may help solve them.

For many of these cases, there is very little information, so investigators are relying solely on the public’s tips. The Chronicle’s article is here.

Update: I have tried to find more information but there isn’t anything online. Some websites just repeat the above information, others say there is no picture of Connie (there is, see above), and others just mention police contact information. If you knew Connie and have memories you are willing to share, please use the contact page to email me. Connie deserves to be remembered for who she was instead of how she died.

Thank you for sharing!

Author Notes

Since 2009, I write about unsolved cases that need renewed media attention. I only do research and leave active investigations to the authorities.

My posts cover homicides, missing and unidentified people, wrongful convictions, and forensics as related to unsolved cases.

On book reviews: I only review select works of true crime, crime fiction, and historical fiction/mysteries. The stories have to fit my website's theme, tone, and research. It is my prerogative to not review a book. Please check the FAQ page for more.

My databases are free to the public. Cases are sorted by the victim’s last name.

If you have any questions about my website please check the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page, the About page, and the tabs in both menu bars. If you cannot find the answers there, please contact me.

Thank you,

Alice de Sturler
