Top 50 Police Websites/Blogs

June 30, 2017 By Alice

DCC Police transparent 2017 500jpgDefrosting Cold Cases was selected by Feedspot’s panelist as one of the Top 50 Police Blogs on the web. It reached #13. Feedspot is a modern RSS reader.

Being included in this list means a lot to me. There are many crime sites and blogs on the web. To stand out isn’t easy. Being included in these lists is a form of recognition, acknowledging what I do here at DCC. I appreciate that very much.

If you look at the list, you will see familiar names. Grits for Breakfast, Joe Giacalone, Mental Health Cop, Popehat, Officer Down Memorial Page, and Police One have all had their mention here on DCC. I am in excellent company!

No award recognition can pass without a huge THANK YOU to DCC’s technical producer Jacques Soudan. Jacques built this blog and without his support I would not have gotten this far. Thank you for being my partner in crime blogging, Jacques.

Congratulations to all on the list. If you have time, check out that list. You just might find a blog or website you didn’t know yet. It tells you how often they post and you can see the latest posts in a drop down menu.

Thank you all again for recognizing my writing, my content, and especially for reading it. But most importantly, thank you for helping to keep the victims of unsolved homicides in the spotlights!

Thank you for sharing!

Author Notes

Since 2009, I write about unsolved cases that need renewed media attention. I only do research and leave active investigations to the authorities.

My posts cover homicides, missing and unidentified people, wrongful convictions, and forensics as related to unsolved cases.

On book reviews: I only review select works of true crime, crime fiction, and historical fiction/mysteries. The stories have to fit my website's theme, tone, and research. It is my prerogative to not review a book. Please check the FAQ page for more.

My databases are free to the public. Cases are sorted by the victim’s last name.

If you have any questions about my website please check the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page, the About page, and the tabs in both menu bars. If you cannot find the answers there, please contact me.

Thank you,

Alice de Sturler
