New tip in Teekah Lewis case has police exploring Tacoma Park. Teekah Lewis was 2 years old when she disappeared from the now-defunct New Frontier Lanes in Tacoma on Jan. 23, 1999.
Teekah was with her family in a bowling alley late in the evening. Her mother kept an eye on her except for one moment when she turned to watch her brother bowl. That is when someone snatched Teekah.
Many people were interviewed but there has not been an arrests. Teekah’s mother, Theresa English, said that she received a new tip from a man during the annual vigil for Teekah. She said he told her that he had visions of the missing girl.
From Komo News: “Tacoma police spokesman Mark Fulghum said investigators have spoken to the tipster, whom he only described as an “area man.” Fulghum said the tip prompted police to begin digging at the Native Garden at Point Defiance Park. It is not known exactly what police are looking for. Fulghum said only that detectives are looking for “evidence.” Read more here.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for a tip that brings Teekah Lewis safely home.
