Introducing the new theme!

August 11, 2013 By Alice

DCC has a new theme. It was time to make some changes to the blog. So here is a short overview of all the changes:

Menu Bars: the top menu bar has the links to pages and the list of cold cases discussed on my blog (arranged by the victim’s last name). The secondary menu bar holds the most popular categories such as #crimechat (drop down to see the old chats under the name cclivechat) and references. The cases of Lapointe, Zeigler, and Hilt were made into separate categories so you can always find them there. The complete list of categories are in the right margin, as usual.

#CrimeChat and Court Updates (formerly Clerk Watch): No changes to their content but they are now in the right margin as well.

Archives: check the margin on the right.

Blogroll: still in the right margin and remember, these are just a few blogs related to my own subjects AND blogs that I read often. I decided long ago not to put every blog I check in the margin. It would blow out of proportion.

Responsive Theme: this theme should allow you to read my blog posts from any computer, tablet, eReader, cell phone, etc and with every browser. However, if you have any issues please let me know.

Vidocq Presents!: a very popular series is featured in the right margin underneath #CrimeChat. It shows the interview posts in random order.

Looking up a case is still very easy: check the top menu bar. Check either archives or the cases list. The cases list shows all cases by the victim’s last name. It is followed by a link to all posts that contain the victim’s name and a short case update. You can also search by categories in the right side margin.

Author Notes

Since 2009, I write about unsolved cases that need renewed media attention. I only do research and leave active investigations to the authorities.

My posts cover homicides, missing and unidentified people, wrongful convictions, and forensics as related to unsolved cases.

On book reviews: I only review select works of true crime, crime fiction, and historical fiction/mysteries. The stories have to fit my website's theme, tone, and research. It is my prerogative to not review a book. Please check the FAQ page for more.

My databases are free to the public. Cases are sorted by the victim’s last name.

If you have any questions about my website please check the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page, the About page, and the tabs in both menu bars. If you cannot find the answers there, please contact me.

Thank you,
