Happy Holidays

December 20, 2018 By Alice

Happy Holidays
Happy Holidays

The end of 2018 is approaching fast. As always, I am grateful for my readers’ continued support. You share so many cases online, it really helps to get the victims’ stories out.

I also wish to thank everyone who emailed me with newspaper clippings, images, memories, missed details, typos, book recommendations, cases suggestions so the victims get renewed online attention, and so much more. Thank you to all.

As you know, this blog would not be where it is today without the help of Jacques Soudan. He built this blog in 2009 and to this day, hosts it. Thank you, Jacques, for years of support, patience, and friendship.

Next year, on November 24, 2019, this blog will be ten years old. What happens after that I have not decided yet. I didn’t expect to be blogging for as long as I have but I don’t regret it either. It is my absolute privilege to shed a light on an unknown case and to watch the online visibility of the case improve with each passing day.

Every time a family member contacts me I am honored that they trust me with their stories and their memories. I wish to thank all the family members and the friends of all the victims whose stories are told on this blog. Your information is crucial to bring the story to life so that at least on the web, the victims and their life stories live on.

A big thank you to all my followers on Twitter. You keep me on my toes and your encouragements mean the world to me. A huge shout out to all readers who comment on my blog’s Facebook page. Your interest in these cases and your comments are much appreciated.

I wish everyone a Happy Holiday Season with lots of laughter, good health, and of course, a very happy New Year.

Alice

Author Notes

Since 2009, I write about unsolved cases that need renewed media attention. I only do research and leave active investigations to the authorities.

My posts cover homicides, missing and unidentified people, wrongful convictions, and forensics as related to unsolved cases.

On book reviews: I only review select works of true crime, crime fiction, and historical fiction/mysteries. The stories have to fit my website's theme, tone, and research. It is my prerogative to not review a book. Please check the FAQ page for more.

My databases are free to the public. Cases are sorted by the victim’s last name.

If you have any questions about my website please check the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page, the About page, and the tabs in both menu bars. If you cannot find the answers there, please contact me.

Thank you,

Alice de Sturler
