The cold case of Vicki Jo Dodd Silves

January 22, 2016 By Alice

The cold case of Vicki Jo Dodd Silves (June 17, 1953 – December 8, 1997) needs more attention.

On December 8, 1997, Vicki (44) was found dead on her driveway in the city Concrete, WA. Her injuries were consistent with being inflicted by an edged weapon.

The Skagit County Sheriff’s Office investigated this case thoroughly and even enlisted the assistance of the Vidocq Society but alas, the case remains unsolved.

The only information I could find in the public domain was:

  • Vicki is also spelled Vickie and Vicky
  • She also used the last name Hart
  • She used to live in Juneau, Alaska
  • Graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School in 1971
  • One son: William Hart of Port Angeles

The Skagit County Sheriff’s Office has listed Vicki’s case on their cold cases webpage, see link below. Her case number is #97-11697.

If you have any information about Vicki’s case please contact the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office.

If you have any memories about Vicki Jo Dodd Silves from either school, sports, clubs, etc. or photographs and you wish to share them, please contact me.

Vicki hardly has a web presence and she deserves to be remembered.

Author Notes

Since 2009, I write about unsolved cases that need renewed media attention. I only do research and leave active investigations to the authorities.

My posts cover homicides, missing and unidentified people, wrongful convictions, and forensics as related to unsolved cases.

On book reviews: I only review select works of true crime, crime fiction, and historical fiction/mysteries. The stories have to fit my website's theme, tone, and research. It is my prerogative to not review a book. Please check the FAQ page for more.

My databases are free to the public. Cases are sorted by the victim’s last name.

If you have any questions about my website please check the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page, the About page, and the tabs in both menu bars. If you cannot find the answers there, please contact me.

Thank you,
