ABA Top 100 Blawgs

November 25, 2013 By Alice

ABA 2013 Blawg 100 HonoreeABA Top 100 Blawgs for 2013 and … I have been nominated!!! Thank you to the reader(s) who nominated my blog! Here I am on the nominee’s list:

“Defrosting Cold Cases

NEW If there’s a dog-eared manuscript to a legal thriller gathering dust in your back drawer, wipe that sucker off and turn to cold-case consultant Alice de Sturler’s blog. A mixture of interviews with true-crime authors and profiles of real cold cases, Defrosting Cold Cases is both fascinating and heartbreaking.”

This is fantastic!

“In our 7th year selecting the Blawg 100, we recognize that it takes more than luck to make it onto our list. Bloggers with the creativity to attract readers to their blogs and keep them engaged continue to be a pleasure to celebrate each year,” said ABA Journal Editor and Publisher Allen Pusey. “Congratulations to this year’s 100 honorees and the 10 who were inducted into our Blawg 100 Hall of Fame.”

The ABA Journal is the flagship magazine of the American Bar Association, and it is read by half of the nation’s 1.1 million lawyers every month. It covers the trends, people and finances of the legal profession from Wall Street to Main Street to Pennsylvania Avenue. ABAJournal.com features breaking legal news updated as it happens by staff reporters throughout every business day, a directory of more than 3,600 lawyer blogs, and the full contents of the magazine.

Go here to vote for me but please do take a good look at all the other blogs such as Popehat and Lowering the Bar. My category is Criminal Justice and I am there with nine other bloggers. If you are on Twitter, a list of all Blawg 100 bloggers is here.

You know that a vote for me is a vote for the victims’ stories. And they deserve all the attention.

GO!

Author Notes

Since 2009, I write about unsolved cases that need renewed media attention. I only do research and leave active investigations to the authorities.

My posts cover homicides, missing and unidentified people, wrongful convictions, and forensics as related to unsolved cases.

On book reviews: I only review select works of true crime, crime fiction, and historical fiction/mysteries. The stories have to fit my website's theme, tone, and research. It is my prerogative to not review a book. Please check the FAQ page for more.

My databases are free to the public. Cases are sorted by the victim’s last name.

If you have any questions about my website please check the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page, the About page, and the tabs in both menu bars. If you cannot find the answers there, please contact me.

Thank you,

Alice de Sturler
