Update Silvia Pettem’s new book

Update Silvia Pettem’s new book. “Cold Case Research” is in production now and will be on the market July 2012. As per the earlier post, we did not have a cover design at that time. Now we do! A description of the book can be found here.

Silvia has extensive experience with all aspects of cold cases. The information in her latest book details to readers how to investigate a cold case and gives pointers to volunteers, getting the public and the media involved, and of course, includes an update on forensics and search engines.

Silvia’s efforts to help law enforcement solve cold cases was put to the test in the case that resulted in the book “Someone’s daughter; in search of justice for Jane Doe.”

Silvia Pettem is a Colorado-based self-employed researcher, writer, and author with a passion for cold cases, unidentified remains, and long-term missing persons.

Silvia contributed to the identification of “Boulder Jane Doe” (a murder victim), is an associate member of the Vidocq Society, and is one of the organization’s Medal of Honor recipients. She’s a volunteer in the Detectives Section of the Boulder Police Department, a NamUs instructor in classes sponsored by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, and a member of AISOCC. In addition, she’s the author of more than a dozen books including The Long Term Missing: Hope and Help for Families; Someone’s Daughter: In Search of Justice for Jane Doe, and Cold Case Research: Resources for Unidentified, Missing, and Cold Homicide Cases.
