Remember the Manchester Building Female Skeleton I posted about? Police is still trying to find out who the lady was.
“Workmen unearthed a skeleton while digging up the former car park on land between Angel Street, Dantzic Street and Miller Street – an area known as Angel Meadow. Police believed the remains could have been lying there for up to 50 years, and belonged to a white female aged 16 to 30.”
Florence McLellan vanished from that area about 60 years ago. Her surviving family who still live in Greater Manchester, saw the police appeal for information about the bones and called officers to say they thought it could be her. But detectives managed to trace the 74-year-old to her Islington home and put her in touch with her long-lost relatives.
Read about the fantastic reunion with a long lost relative here. The Manchester Building female skeleton is still unidentified.
To be continued.
